What is Lodestar?

Lodestar is a curriculum development and community education organization that aims to empower community members of the city of Flint by providing educational programming that connects people and businesses while making greater impacts toward community progress.

What do we aim to do?

Through our courses and online workshops, we aim to develop knowledgeable, self-sufficient, critical thinkers in our community who will work to collectively develop themselves and others.

Lodestar will provide the Flint community with an evidenced based program aimed at exposing young people to learning how to positively impact the health environment of their community. It was further determined that the young participants will be able to see the value and possibilities of pursuing a stem career, possibly in the health sciences/public health.
